Mahir Car Rental – Goa

Welcome to Mahir Car Rental. By booking, renting, or using our vehicles, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our services.

1. Eligibility

  1. The renter must:
    • Be at least 21 years of age.
    • Possess a valid Driving License recognized in India.
    • Carry original identification documents (Aadhar Card, Passport, Voter ID, etc.) at the time of vehicle handover.
  2. International tourists must provide:
    • Passport copy
    • Valid International Driving Permit (IDP) or legally accepted driving license.

2. Booking & Payment

  1. Advance booking may require partial or full payment.
  2. Security deposit amount shall vary depending on the vehicle category.
  3. Payments can be made through:
    • UPI
    • Bank transfer
    • Cash
  4. Booking confirmation is subject to vehicle availability.

3. Security Deposit

  1. A refundable security deposit is mandatory before vehicle delivery.
  2. The deposit will be refunded after:
    • Vehicle inspection
    • Clearance of fines, damages, fuel differences, or extra charges.
  3. Refund timelines:
    • UPI/Bank Transfer: Within 24–72 hours.

4. Vehicle Usage Rules

The renter agrees:

  1. To use the vehicle only within Goa unless prior written permission is obtained.
  2. Not to use the vehicle for:
    • Racing
    • Stunts
    • Illegal activities
    • Commercial transport
    • Towing
  3. Not to allow unauthorized persons to drive the vehicle.
  4. To follow all traffic laws and regulations.

5. Fuel Policy

  1. Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as provided.
  2. Fuel shortages will be charged at prevailing market rates plus service charges.

6. Rental Duration & Extensions

  1. Rental duration begins from the scheduled pickup time.
  2. Late returns may attract hourly or daily extra charges.
  3. Rental extensions are subject to:
    • Vehicle availability
    • Prior approval
    • Additional payment

7. Delivery & Pickup

  1. Delivery/pickup services may be available at:
    • Airports
    • Railway stations
    • Hotels
    • Other designated locations
  2. Additional delivery charges may apply depending on location.

8. Traffic Violations & Fines

  1. The renter is fully responsible for:
    • Traffic fines
    • Parking violations
    • Toll charges
    • Challans incurred during the rental period.
  2. Mahir Car Rental reserves the right to deduct pending charges from the security deposit.

9. Damage & Accident Policy

  1. The renter must immediately inform Mahir Car Rental in case of:
    • Accident
    • Theft
    • Damage
    • Breakdown
  2. The renter is liable for damages caused due to:
    • Negligence
    • Rash driving
    • Drunk driving
    • Violation of traffic laws
  3. Insurance claims, if applicable, shall be subject to policy terms and deductibles.

10. Breakdown Assistance

  1. Basic roadside assistance may be provided within Goa.
  2. Assistance delays due to weather, traffic, or remote locations shall not create liability for Mahir Car Rental.

11. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  1. Cancellation before [24/48] hours may qualify for partial/full refund.
  2. Last-minute cancellations may attract cancellation charges.
  3. No refunds for:
    • Early return
    • No-show bookings

12. Prohibited Activities

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Smoking inside the vehicle
  • Carrying illegal substances
  • Overloading passengers beyond permitted capacity
  • Off-road driving or beach driving where prohibited

Violation may result in immediate termination of rental without refund.

13. Insurance

  1. Vehicles are insured as per applicable Indian motor vehicle laws.
  2. Personal belongings inside the vehicle are not covered.
  3. Insurance becomes void in cases involving:
    • Drunk driving
    • Unauthorized drivers
    • Illegal activities

14. Liability Limitation

Mahir Car Rental shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of personal belongings
  • Missed travel schedules
  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Delays caused by mechanical failure, traffic, or weather

15. Privacy Policy

Customer information collected during booking shall be used only for:

  • Booking management
  • Verification
  • Legal compliance

Personal data will not be sold or shared unlawfully.

16. Termination of Rental

Mahir Car Rental reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement without refund if:

  • Terms are violated
  • False documents are submitted
  • Unsafe or illegal usage is detected

17. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of courts located in Goa.

18. Acceptance

By booking or using the vehicle, the renter confirms acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
